Three Questions

1. Who’s playing defense tonight?

Gorges – injured. Weber – injured. Strachan – sick. Zadorov – suspended. That leaves Zach Bogosian, Andrej Meszaros, Andre Benoit, and Rasmus Ristolainen to get paired with two call ups. My guess at the time of this writing would be Mark Pysyk for sure, and probably Chad Ruhwedel over Jake McCabe.

2. How will Neuvirth handle his heavy workload?

Michal Neuvirth is in net again tonight, his fifth game in a row and third in four days. The Preds are scoring at a very high rate this season, and the Sabres will need Neuvirth to be sharp in order to have a chance against one of the best teams in hockey.

3. only two players this season have 10 goals for the Sabres, but a few are stuck at 9. Will they crack double digits tonight?

Tyler Ennis and Zemgus Girgensons are the only Buffalo players with double-digit goals, but Chris Stewart and MAtt Moulson each have nine.

Projected BUF lines

Stewart – Girgensons – Ennis
Moulson – Mitchell – Gionta
Foligno – Flynn – Deslauriers
Hodgson – Ellis – Larsson

Benoit – Bogosian
Meszaros – Ristolainen
Ruhwedel – Pysyk

Goal: Michal Neuvirth
