Sabres vs. Flames preview: The Quest for Goals
The Sabres try to break out of the scoring slump tonight against Calgary.
Game #65
Buffalo Sabres (25-32-7) vs.
Calgary Flames (26-33-4)
Three Questions
1. Who's gonna score?
The Sabres need someone to step up and help snap a scoring drought that has seen them held to zero or one goals in three of their last four games. The Flames are generous to their opponents, giving up the third most goals against, and they're just as bad on the road as the Sabres are at home, so tonight would be a good night to put some points on the board. Cal O'Reilly can't do it all by himself, fellas.
2. How will Ristolainen follow up his last performance against the Flames?
When these teams met earlier this season, Rasmus Ristolainen firmly planted his flag in the #1 defender ground by scoring a hat trick. Risto's been in a bit of a slump lately, but playing the Flames often cures what ails ya.
3. Can Robin Lehner continue to be the Sabres best player?
Lehner = very good. Sabres offense = not good. One of those two things needs to change, and I hope it's not Robin.
