Sabres cut Bailey, Baptiste and 10 others from roster

The Sabres have cut their training camp roster by 12 players tonight. Ten Players have been sent to Rochester: Justin Bailey, Nicholas Baptiste, Jerry D’Amigo, Jean Dupuy, William Carrier, Dan Catenacci, Justin Kea, Jack Nevins, Andrey Makarov and Philip Varone. D’Amigo and Varone will both need to clear waivers to make it to Rochester.

The Sabres also released Matt Garbowsky and Matt Prapavessis, who will both be reporting to Rochester for camp.

There are 38 players left on the Sabres roster, meaning they’ll need to cut 15 more before opening night. The offense is nearly set, with only 20 players left. The cuts will mostly be on defense (14 players left in camp) and goalie (four left in camp).
