Open Thread: Amerks Close Out Regular Season

Rochester center Mason Jobst pushes the puck out of the Americans end as defenseman Joseph Cecceoni finishes Utica's Nolan Stevens against the boards during their AHL hockey game Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024 at the Blue Cross Arena.

The Buffalo Sabres’ season may be over, but the AHL’s Rochester Americans are still alive and kicking. The Amerks have just a few games left in the regular season and, as of writing, are in a tie for first place. They’ve already progressed to the point of avoiding the play-in round, which is a good start as we get closer to the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Use this post/thread as a place to discuss the final push of the Amerks’ regular season, including:

  • Friday, April 19 vs. Cleveland Monsters
  • Sunday, April 21 @ Utica Comets
