Maple Leafs at Sabres Preview: Vanek, Sekera Questionable

The Sabres somehow managed to beat the Canadiens on Tuesday, despite being outshot about 50-1. They received the benefit of a phantom penalty call in overtime, and ended up winning the game 3-2. Tonight, the Leafs come into town sitting eight points ahead of the Sabres, who will be without some key pieces. Can Buffalo get back to their winning ways?

Story

The Sabres will be without the services of both Thomas Vanek and Andrej Sekera tonight, as both are day-to-day in their recoveries. Vanek is closer than Sekera, who will likely wait until the weekend to return. If Sekera is unable to go, Mark Pysyk will make another start, and will look to continue his hot start.

Toronto, on the other hand, just waived Mike Komisarek yesterday, who never really caught on with fans in Toronto.
