The Buffalo Sabres have been very active in the week leading up to he trade deadline, and the one we’ve know was coming for a long time is finally complete.
The Sabres traded Chris Stewart to the Minnesota Wild for a 2nd round pick in 2017. The return for Stewart is good, even though we’ll have to wait a while to see it come to fruition, and Stewart now joins a Buffalo West squad that includes former Sabres Thomas Vanek, Jason Pominville, and Jordan Leopold.
The Sabres will retain half of Stewart’s salary in the deal.
