Skinner voted into the All-Star game

The National Hockey League announced today that Buffalo Sabres forward Jeff Skinner was voted in as the “Last Man In” for the Atlantic Division. He’ll join Jack Eichel at the All-Star game in San Jose.

Along with Skinner, Kris Letang (Metro), Gabriel Landeskog (Central), and Leon Draisaitl (Pacific) were the other players voted in by the fans.

Skinner is having a career year with the Sabres and is tied for second in league in goals entering play tonight with 29.

This marks the first time the Sabres will have more than one player in the event since 2007 when they sent three (Daniel Briere, Ryan Miller, and Brian Campbell).

This is Skinner’s second trip to the All-Star game in his career and first since 2011 when he was the youngest player elected to go to the event.

The 26-year-old winger will give fans another reason to tune in for the skills contest and three on three tournament on January 25th and 26th.
