Each division will consist of nine skaters (six forwards and three defensemen) and two goaltenders.
This year the Sabres have two players who are likely up for consideration.
The first of course is center Jack Eichel. He’s been one of the best players in the entire league this season, not just for the Sabres. He seems like the no-brainer pick with 15 goals and 49 points in 40 games.
The other real consideration for the roster would be winger Jeff Skinner. He’s having a career year with 26 goals in 40 games (tied for second-most in the league).
However, with how the rosters are constructed it may be unlikely the Sabres get two players on the roster. Especially with the talent loaded Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs in the division.
With Eichel’s injury, it’s possible he’s selected to the team but doesn’t end up attending. Leaving the door open for Skinner to take his place.
We’ll find out tonight.
Who makes the All-Star game for the Sabres this year?
Eichel only | 69 |
Skinner only | 16 |
Both Eichel and Skinner | 164 |
