In episode 57 hosts Chad DeDominicis and Bill Schake get ready for the 2017-18 season. The mood this season is a lot more positive than it was last year with the injuries and the Jack Eichel loss.
They start by going over the new eight year $80 million extension for Eichel and the captaincy. While general manager Jason Botterill said the club will start the season without a captain, it seems to be only a matter of time until Eichel gets the “C”.
The duo then shifts focus to the opening night roster and some disappointments with the younger players who were unable to earn spot. While none were able to crack the NHL roster. The roster in the AHL for the Rochester Amerks looks pretty deep and should result in a very good season for the Sabres farm team.
