2013 NHL Draft: Sabres Take Hometown Boy Sean Malone In Sixth Round

Another WNY native, center Sean Malone, who hails from West Seneca, was drafted by the Sabres in the sixth round at pick 159.

With the 159th pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, the Buffalo Sabres selected center Sean Malone.

Malone joins second round pick Justin Bailey as another hometown boy, hailing from West Seneca and playing for Nichols, but most recently USA Juniors. He stands 5'11'', 189 lbs, shoots lefthanded, and fits the recent Sabres mold of drafting hard working character guys who play a 200 foot game.

Malone is headed to Harvard next year, proving that he is indeed, a genius. We'll let Kris Baker sum it up nicely:
