Will Butcher, coveted college free agent defenseman, has announced today that he will sign with…the New Jersey Devils.
What a jerk.
Butcher, who personally spurned every resident of Western New York with this decision, will certainly lead the Devils to great things next season with his combination of smooth skating, offensive prowess, and puck moving skills.
The man who hates New York so much that he decided to live in New Jersey will sign a two-year entry level contract, becoming the second college player in the past two seasons to reject the Sabres advances after Jimmy Vesey similarly drove a stake into the heart of every Sabres fan last summer.
Considering that the world will be ending shortly thanks to this decision, we advise all Sabres fans to hunker down, stay warm in your Miroslav Satan goathead jersey, and wait for the end of days.
