What’s your favorite Sabres moment of the decade?

Only 25 days remain in the 2010s decade as of this writing. In the world of the Buffalo Sabres, it’s been quite a decade, filled with ups and downs, highs and lows.

As the year – and the decade – approach their end, we want to know: what’s your favorite Buffalo Sabres-related moment that happened between January 1, 2010 and the end of this year?

Maybe it’s the day the Sabres drafted now-captain Jack Eichel, or the day Rasmus Dahlin made his NHL debut, or that time Buffalo had a lengthy winning streak and the best record in the NHL at one point last season.

Recency bias aside, there have been a lot of memorable moments in the past 10 years in Buffalo Sabres history, and it’s worth reflecting back on. Some have been good (like the time the team revealed their 50th anniversary jerseys), and some have been bad (mostly anything in the “tank era,” or that time the awful slug jersey was revealed.)

Maybe you look fondly back on Thomas Vanek’s overtime goal against the Capitals in 2010, the Tyler Ennis overtime goal in game five against the Flyers, a big fight or a crazy hit. Who knows, it could even be something that happened off the ice, like a great Rick Jeanneret call or Brian Duff interview.

So, Die by the Blade readers – share your thoughts in the comments. As you look back on the last 10 years of Sabres hockey, what’s been your favorite moment of the decade with this team?
