Sabres vs. Canucks preview: Eddie Lack doing his best Ryan Miller impression

Two Questions

1. How will the injuries to Zemgus Girgensons and Tyler Ennis change the Sabres offense?

As if the Sabres didn’t have enough offensive problems, their two most productive offensive players were injured against the Blue Jackets. With 2/3 of their top line now on the shelf, who will replace them? Will the team have any semblance of an offense, or will things get even worse? The Sabres didn’t practice yesterday so we won’t really know what the line will look like until their morning skate.

2. Which hot goaltender will bring his team victory?

Michal Neuvrith’s save percentage during his recent hot streak is upwards up .950, while Eddie Lack has stopped 67 of 68 shots since taking over for the injured Ryan Miller. Between those numbers and the Sabres recent string of injuries, this one could be a low scoring affair.

Projected BUF lines?

Stewart – Girgensons – Ennis
Moulson – Mitchell – Gionta
Foligno – Flynn – Deslauriers
Hodgson – Ellis – Larsson

Benoit – Bogosian
Zadorov – Ristolainen
Pysyk – Meszaros

Goal: Michal Neuvirth
