Sabres vs. Bruins Game Preview: Two Slumping Division Foes Enter, One Leaves

Well, technically they;'ll both leave, but you get the idea. The Sabres apparently gave up "regulation wins" for Lent, so hopefully they'll be able to actually get one on this Easter Sunday match up.

The Sabres enter this game against Boston on a five game point streak, but it sure doesn't feel like it after blowing yet another third period lead yesterday against Washington. The Sabres are now 5-0-4 when leading after two periods, so the Bruins strategy may be to let the Sabres get a lead, then play for a shootout. Boston enters the game on a bit of a slump, and they lost to Philadelphia yesterday, so there may be hope for the Sabres.

Game Notes

Thomas Vanek is still questionable to play, and since Boston's in town, John Scott will likely dress for the blue and gold to play scarecrow. Ryan Miller should be back in net.
