Sabres Prospects Challenge returns in September

Last season, the best prospects from the Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins, and New Jersey Devils participated in a round robin tournament right here in Buffalo. This season, they’re all coming back to do it again.

The Sabres announced the return of the Prospects Challenge, which will take place from Sept 16-19 exclusively at HarborCenter.

For a few years the Sabres participated in the Traverse City prospects tournament, but decided to host their own event last year, which was a fun, relaxed way to see some of the teams best young players right before the start of training camp. While development camp is nice, this will be the first chance to see players like Alex Nylander and Rasmus Asplund in live game action against real opponents.
