1. One Last Look

The Buffalo Sabres take the ice on Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers for the final time before the NHL Trade Deadline, which falls on Monday, April 12.

Which Sabres will be taking the ice for the final time?

We already know that Brandon Montour has been shipped off to Florida and Taylor Hall continues to be a healthy scratch, with a trade anticipated to be forthcoming.

It is clear that someone might be playing their final game for the franchise today. Although, only time will tell which player that ends up being.

2. In Search of Number Ten

The entire National Hockey League has something the Buffalo Sabres does not currently possess – at least ten wins this season.

Sitting at nine victories in 40 games, the Sabres take the ice on Sunday afternoon taking a shot at their tenth win this season.

While Buffalo has continued to improve under interim coach Don Granato, the wins have not yet started to trickle in.

3. Playing Spoiler

Headed into today’s matinee, the Philadelphia Flyers are four points out of a playoff spot. The team they are chasing has two games in hand, along with that four point cushion.

At this point of the season, the only thing Buffalo has left to play for is pride. The ability to play spoiler and keep their division rivals out of the playoffs could certainly provide some extra fire to today’s game.
