Three Questions

1. Will Neuvirth hold steady with Buffalo’s recent stretch of amazing goaltending?
Ryan Miller has been phenomenal all year, and Jhonas Enroth has been lights out these past two weeks. Can Neuvirth step up to the challenge, stop 45 shots a game, and keep the Sabres in it?

2. Can the trio of young leaders who scored last game keep it going?
Marcus Foligno, Cody Hodgson, and Tyler Myers each had a goal and an assist yesterday. Ted Nolan called them out as a new group of young leaders, and they responded well in their first game as the new core of the team. Who among them, if any, will keep the effort up tonight?

3. Who’s even playing tonight?
Girgensons and Stewart suffered lower body injuries last night, and are doubtful. Cory Conacher is apparently stuck in the Buffalo airport (why I don’t know, it’s a wonderful 43 degrees her right now) and so the Sabres recalled Luke Adam and the newly acquired Nicolas Deslauriers from Rochester on an emergency basis. Thanks to no morning skate we have no idea what the lineup will look like, but at least two of Adam, Conacher, and Deslauriers should be expected to play.

Foligno – Adam – Mitchell
