Three Questions

1. Will anybody score tonight?

The Sabres and Bruins are two of the lowest-scoring teams in the NHL; they’re actually tied for 27th in the league in goals for with 25 goals apiece. Buffalo is playing a low-scoring, puck control style by design while they wait for two of their best offensive weapons to return from injury, but let’s hope we end the night with more than a 0-0 shootout by 10 o’clock. In that vein…

2. Can Robin Lehner stay hot?

Since the Sabres are relying on keeping games close, they have often turned to their goaltender to make sure things are never out of hand. Over his last four games, Lehner has a sparkling .961 save percentage and 1.26 goals-against average, and has made some miraculous saves over the past few games. With a lifetime .925 save percentage against the Bruins, Lehner always seems to play well against them, and the Sabres will certainly need another strong effort tonight in a clash of defensive teams.

3. Can the Sabres and Bills pull off another #WonBuffalo night?

This is the third time this season that both Pegula teams have played on the same day. Will tonight turn out like the glorious 49ers/Oilers demolishing, or more like the Patriots/Jets debacle? If both teams can pull out a win tonight, it will be the first time they’ve done so twice in a season since 2006.
