Ryan Miller Officially Named To The U.S. Olympic Roster

Ryan Miller has been officially announced as the one of the three goaltenders that will make the trip to Sochi for the Winter Olympics. He will be joined by Jonathan Quick and Jimmy Howard. Miller is one pace of one his better statistical seasons even though his win/loss record shows otherwise. His .927 save percentage is comparable to the last Olympic season in which he finished the year with a .929 save percentage.

Three other Western New Yorkers have made the Olympic roster in Buffalo’s Patrick Kane, Amherst’s Brooks Orpik and Rochester’s Ryan Callahan. All three players were apart of the 2010 Olympic roster.

We’ll have more on the US Olympic roster later, but for now, enjoy this photo from the excellent Twitter account of team equipment manager David Williams.
