6. The return of themed nights at the KeyBank Center
By all accounts, the gameday experience at the Buffalo Sabres home arena is nothing to write home about. Between the manic commercialization of every second of the time you are there to a couple of ‘tank’ seasons, the atmosphere at Sabres games has become lukewarm at best.
However, the franchise is looking to come out of this rebuild phase with some new energy, and what better way to channel the glory years of the organization than with the return of themed nights at the arena?
Here are a few suggestions for theme nights along with fan giveaways, but what we’re really looking for is your suggestions in the comments below.
Having ‘throwback jersey nights’ is also a great way for the organization to bump up sales volume in the Sabres Store by reissuing classic jerseys along with options for personalization with former player names and numbers.
