NHL Draft 2016: Sabres take Cliff Pu at #69

With the 69th pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, the Sabres have taken Cliff Pu from the Memorial Cup champion London Knights. Pu just turned 18 three weeks ago and had 31 points (12+19) in 69 games for the Knights, which was good for 10th on the team last season. Pu has played a total of two seasons for the Knights and will continue to mature with the Knights for at least the next couple of seasons.

If Pu breaks into the league, he could quickly become a fan favorite as his last name easily works into a chant or two.

The Buffalo Sabres have one more pick left in the third round at pick number 86, after dealing pick 89 to the Panthers.
