Linus Ullmark and CJ Smith Selected to AHL All-Star Game

The Rochester Amerks announced today that Buffalo Sabres prospects goaltender Linus Ullmark and forward CJ Smith have been selected to the AHL all-star game in Utica. This will be Ullmark’s second AHL all-star game and Smith’s first.

Ullmark has 15 wins in 24 games played for the Amerks this season. He currently has career highs in save percentage with a .926 and goals against average with a 2.33. The former sixth-round pick has been a huge part of the success the Amerks have had this season.

Smith is having an excellent season as a rookie in Rochester. The undrafted free agent has 10 goals and 30 points in 34 games this season. Those numbers rank him tied for second in rooking scoring and 10th in goals among all AHL rookies.

The AHL all-star game will take place in Utica, NY on Monday, January, 29th. The skills competition will take place the day before on Sunday the 28th.
