Kulich, Rosén Named to AHL All-Star Classic

Amerks Jiri Kulich drives Hershey’s Garrett Pilon into the end boards.

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Rochester Americans forwards Jiri Kulich and Isak Rosén have both been named to the rosters for the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic, being held in San Jose on February 4-5.

The dynamic duo – and they truly are – lead the Amerks in scoring across the board. Kulich’s 16 goals are most on the team, with Brandon Biro as the only other player to hit double digits. Rosén leads the team with 15 assists and 24 points. Kulich is averaging 0.96 points per game, and the two have a combined seven game-winning goals.

Kulich, of course, has just returned to Rochester on the heels of captaining Czechia to a bronze medal at the IIHF World Junior Championships. He recorded 12 points in seven games, including four points in the bronze medal game. Call him Captain Clutch for Czechia, that’s for certain.

Both Kulich and Rosén have also made appearances in the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres this season. Kulich appeared in one game, while Rosén skated in seven.

Kulich and Rosén are among those named to the All-Star Classic from the AHL’s North Division. They’ll be joined by players including Cleveland’s Trey Fix-Wolansky & Jett Greaves, Toronto’s Dennis Hildeby and Utica’s Graeme Clark.

The AHL All-Star Classic includes the Skills Competition on Sunday, February 4 at 8 PM and the ALl-Star Challenge itself on Monday, February 5 at 9 PM.
