Jack Eichel Selected to the 2018 All-Star Game

The NHL announced it’s All-Star rosters for the game in Tampa Bay at the end of this month. Jack Eichel was selected as the representative for the Buffalo Sabres.

He’ll join Steven Stamkos (Lightning), Nikita Kucherov (Lightning), Auston Matthews (Leafs), Aleksander Barkov (Panthers), Brad Marchand (Bruins), Victor Hedman (Lightning), Erik Karlsson (Senators), Mike Green (Red Wings), Andrei Vasilevskiy (Lightning) and Carey Price (Canadiens) to represent the Atlantic Division.

This is the first all-star selection for the 21-year-old center. Eichel has been on fire for the past month or so. He now leads the Sabres in goals (17) and points (39) through 43 games. Without Eichel, the Sabres offensive production would be nearly nonexistent.

You can see the full rosters here. The skills competition will take place on Saturday, January, 27th. The league has also teased some new competitions and/or small tweaks to the current ones. The 3 on 3 tournament will take place on Sunday, January 28th.
