My First Fanpost!

General
Thoughts/Questions

Hi everyone, I’m a Casual
Sabres Fan who finally decided to stop lurking in the shadows and join the
community. I have been following DBTB for about twelve years or so (the same
time that I seriously started following the Sabres). For my first post I
figured that I would introduce myself and share some of my thoughts on the
Sabres/NHL in general. So, without further ado here we go.

  1. I think that Granato will be fired. He’s a good coach in my opinion but I feel like the Sabres have lacked a discernible identity this year. Are they a young high scoring team that will skate circles around the opponent or a team trying to play shutdown defense that suffocates their opponents? I don’t pin all of this on Donny (the players deserve their share of blame as well) however Granato will bear the brunt of the blame for missing the playoffs this year.

2. Where do the Coyotes end up? Salt Lake City? Houston?
Atlanta? They’ll probably end up in Salt Lake, but you never know with the NHL
sometimes.

3. Should the Sabres use their young prospects/players to make
a big trade to shake up the roster? I am generally against doing stuff like this,
but I think if the right type of player becomes available then you go for it in my opinion.

4. What are some of your guy’s favorite Sabres? My favorites
are Miller, Vanek, and Pominville personally but I’m interested to see what
everyone else says.

5. Will UPL be able to hold off Levi and for how long? I
wasn’t the biggest UPL fan coming into the year, but boy did I come around by
the end. I still think that Levi is the Sabres goalie of the future though. The big question for me is how long do the Sabres think that Levi needs for his development,

6. Now onto the most important question do you think the Pegula’s would hire me if I sent in
my resume listing the six Stanley cups that I won in the NHL video games GM mode? I
mean I can’t do a worse job than some of the people they’ve employed at this point,
am I right?

Well, that’s all that I
have for today. I hope that the Sabres will win out to end the year and that
you all are in good health. Let’s go, Sabres!
