How are you doing Sabres fans? First of all hope you’ve all adjusted your clocks, both home and body, to an hour forward as we’ve sprung forward into daylight savings time.

It was an interesting week for the Buffalo Sabres going into Friday’s NHL Trade Deadline, with General Manager Kevyn Adams making some moves that look to have simultaneously weakened the roster this season, but also put the franchise on a good path for next season.

New addition Bowen Byram has been excellent since joining the team and though making the playoffs this season seems a remote possibility, stranger things have happened in sports, so we’ll wait and see.

Now if the Sabres do make the playoffs somehow, then this coming week will likely have played a pivotal role in that. There’s three games this week against two teams sitting ahead of Buffalo in the wildcard race, so regulation wins will be of the essence here.

TUE: Buffalo Sabres (30-30-5) vs Detroit Red Wings (33-25-6)
THU: Buffalo Sabres vs New York Islanders (29-20-14)
SAT: Buffalo Sabres at Detroit Red Wings

Here’s the Amerks schedule as well for the upcoming week –

WED: Rochester Americans (27-21-6-2) at Syracuse Crunch (33-17-4-2)
FRI: Rochester Americans vs Toronto Marlies (25-19-9-2)
SAT: Rochester Americans at Toronto Marlies

Use this open thread over the course of the week to discuss anything & everything hockey, Sabres, Amerks, etc.
