Daily Links for Tuesday, April 27

Today’s links will be abbreviated. If you’re like me, you don’t really want to read much about the team for a bit, and if you’re not, then I’m sure you have your own sources you’ll check anyway. Since I’m lucky enough to have this unique podium to speak from, spare me the opportunity to say two things about the end of the season:

1. Take another day or two to think about this year as a whole. I know that everyone’s pissed at 19, 9, 29, Darcy, Lindy, etc, but please sleep on it again before jumping to any harsh conclusions. There will be plenty of off-season to debate what the team should do with players and management.

2. I can only speak for myself, but thanks so much to everyone who’s read and posted here on Die By The Blade this season. I know I haven’t been here too long, but the Tyler Ennis-like community we’ve built (small but awesome) has made following this team a lot more fun. Stop in often during the rest of the playoffs and this off-season, as we already have some cool things planned for the next few months.

Regular long playoff links return tomorrow.

NHL ’11 to Feature Canadian Hockey League? – Kotaku
Sports radio in Calgary and a team’s marketing employee are saying EA Sports’ NHL 11 will feature teams from the OWHL, QMJHL, and WHL for the first time ever. Now you don’t have to create Nick Crawford and Luke Adam, they’ll already be in the game!
