After two successful games in Europe, the Sabres split two games in Week 2 with a loss to the Carolina Hurricanes and a win against the Pittsburgh Penguins. With more games completed, we start to see more of the flaws out of some players and it is harder to raise many of the players as well. After the jump, we analyze all of the players from a week ago.

(0 goals, 3 assists, 3 points) Ehrhoff has been contributing on the offensive side of the puck with three assists, but his -3 in those games might pose an issue as well. |

(0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points) Ennis is just not doing anything offensive in his first four games and it appears that he is just trying to do too much with the puck rather than shooting. He only has two shots on goal in the last two games. |
| Paul Gaustad | |
(0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points) Gaustad didn’t register any points on the scoreboard, but he did rile up the crowd pretty well on Friday night with his fight against Tim Gleason. It didn’t spark much else, but at least he tried to get some retribution. |

(0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points) While Gragnani may be a key person for the power play, his defensive mistakes may get him a spot in the press box sooner rather than later. |

(0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points) Kaleta has been very quiet in the first four games this season, he doesn’t even have a penalty yet, but has quietly done his role in throwing his body around. |

(0 goals, 1 assist, 1 points) Leopold hasn’t played much of a role in the offense yet this year, but is still contributing well defensively as he is a +3 on the season. |

(0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points) McCormick has been quietly toiling away on the fourth line and his lone penalty of the season came when he was trying to goad Bruce Allen into fighting, which was approved by Lindy Ruff. |

(0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point) Myers has been playing 21 minutes a game and while playing with Robyn Regehr is playing a sound defensive game. He isn’t getting as much time on the power play as his spot on the first line was replaced by Gragnani and Ehrhoff |

(0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point) After registering four points last week, Pominville’s production has decreased but his line with Adam and Vanek is still the team’s top line. |

(0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points) Regehr isn’t expected to produce much on the scoreboard, he still doesn’t have a point yet, but is bringing everything the Sabres needed as a sound defensive player. |

(1 goal, 0 assists, 1 point) Roy had a very nice goal against the Hurricanes on a feed from Drew Stafford but hasn’t done much else sitting on the second line with Stafford and Gerbe. |

(0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point) Sekera has been making some good defensive plays, unlike his defensive partner, and is making his new contract look good thus far into the season. |

(2 goals, 1 assist, 3 points) Stafford had the most productive week for the Sabres and is getting things done on the offensive side. He is now tied for first on the team in goals scored. |

(1 goal, 1 assist, 2 points) Vanek scored the first goal of the game against the Hurricanes and then proceeded to play a boneheaded game the rest of the night, directly contributing in some way to three of the Hurricanes goals. |

(Did Not Play) While Weber hasn’t stepped on the ice yet, his stock is rising because it feels like he is going to make the lineup here sooner rather than later. |
| Jochen Hecht |  |
(Did Not Play) Hecht appears to be recovering from his concussion symptoms and may get into a game next week, but the Sabres don’t appear to be wanting to rush him anytime soon. |
| Ryan Miller | |
(0-1-0, 4.10 GAA, .882 SV%) Miller didn’t have much help in the loss against the Hurricanes and kept the Sabres in the game as long as possible. |
