With the 173rd overall selection in the 2023 NHL Draft, the Buffalo Sabres selected defenseman Sean Keohane. Keohane, 18, is a left-handed defenseman from Milton, MA. He was ranked 159th by NHL Central Scouting among North American skaters and 209th by Draft Prospects Hockey.
Keohane is 6’4″ and 194 pounds. He captained his high school (prep) team at Dexter Southfield School, and had 16 points (4-12) in 32 games. He also skated in 14 games with the Cape Cod Whalers 18U AAA squad, where he had six points.

Keohane is committed to Harvard for 2024. He plans to play in Tri-City in 2023.
