The latest episode of Beyond The Blade is live. As we all know, things didn’t go well in Sweden against the Tampa Bay Lightning. After being swept, the Buffalo Sabres returned home on a five-game losing streak. Fans are beginning to fear a repeat of last season.
We start off the podcast this week by welcoming Anthony Sciandra back into the mix after a few weeks off. Then I go over the latest rumor update from the weekend on a potential trade that could be coming for the Sabres.
After that we get into some of the struggles with the team including the failure to generate offense, lack of depth scoring, defense, and more. We even touch on the pressure general manager Jason Botterill is facing to make sure this doesn’t get out of control again.
