Sabres drop their sixth straight to the Flyers
The losing streak continues
Final Score: Sabres 1 | Flyers 3
Shots: BUF - 39 | PHI - 24
Buffalo Goal Scorers: Domink Kahun
Flyers Goal Scorers: Claude Giroux (2) and Joel Farabee
Minus 1 - Still can’t score
Ralph Krueger tried to shake things up by putting Jeff Skinner, Sam Reinhart, and Jack Eichel on the top line. The good news is that line created the majority of their quality shooting opportunities. The bad news is that meant the other three lines didn’t create much which resulted in the outcome being the same as most games this season.
Plus - 1 Kahun
Dominik Kahun continues to be a bright spot since he was acquired at the trade deadline. He picked up another point by scoring the Sabrs only goal in the game. It was a nice tic-tac-toe play that he finished off with Victor Olofsson and Marcus Johansson
Plus - 2 Dahlin and Miller
Rasmus Dahlin and Colin Miller picked right back up where they left off when they were put back together last night. They were the Sabres best pair last night. They were both an 80% in shot share (CF%) and 77% in shot quality share (xGF%) at 5 on 5.
Minus - 2 Ristolainen and Hutton play
Carter Hutton and Rasmus Ristolainen combined for one of the more embarrassing plays of the season that resulted in the Flyers third goal. Enjoy the video below.
