Buffalo Sabres at Ottawa Senators Preview

After a day off, the Buffalo Sabres are traveling to Ottawa today to face the Senators for the first meeting of the season between these two divisional foes. Ottawa is off to a fine start, despite an injury to Jason Spezza, and is led by goalie Craig Anderson and his 1.12 GAA. After a few poor efforts from the team in front of him Ryan Miller’s GAA is a bloated 3.11, for comparison’s sake, so the Sabres will have to somehow reverse those two numbers if they want any chance of winning.

Pardy Up, Might Someone Sit?

The Sabres recalled Adam Pardy yesterday from the Rochester Americans to help along the blue line. Pardy is off to a very solid start in the AHL, and with Andrej Sekera and Robyn Regehr still out for Buffalo, Pardy may simply be insurance, or he may provide Lindy Ruff an opportunity to sit one of his many struggling defenseman.
