When Should Jhonas Enroth Play Again?
Ryan Miller has started 14 games in a row, while Jhonas Enroth sits. Miller can't play every game the rest of the year, so when should Enroth get back in?
Remember Jhonas Enroth? He plays goal for the Buffalo Sabres, but if you just started watching the team in the past month, you wouldn't know.
It's been over a full month since Enroth last played, going all the way back to February 5th. Lindy Ruff had a tendency to ride his goaltender while letting his backup collect dust. So far, it seems like Ron Rolston has a tendency to do the same.
Miller has now started the Sabres last 14 games, and has performed well in his extended tour of duty. However, he's got to rest at some point. Many thought yesterday would have been the perfect time, with Carolina playing their third string goalie, but we saw #30 out there yet again.
With the Sabres upcoming schedule, there's plenty of days between games for Rolston to keep riding Miller. In fact, the team doesn't play back to back games until next weekend, and with the Devils, Rangers, Flyers, and Senators on the docket, I wouldn't be surprised to see Miller make it to 18 straight.
So when do you think the right time to play Enroth is? At this rate, 2014 might be the right answer.
