Thomas Vanek scored a beautiful goal in the first period of Thursday night’s game against Columbus, taking an odd version of the tic-tac-toe pass through the legs and past Sergei Bobrovsky.
Vanek’s goal came just days after San Jose rookie Tomas Hertl scored a fantastic goal through the legs (his fourth of the game in a blowout) which caused some people I probably wouldn’t want to hang out with in real life to get all up in arms about tradition and rookies respecting their elders.
Anyway, Vanek’s goal is, as of this writing, the lone bright spot in an otherwise awful game for the Sabers thus far. Anyone think Columbus will whine about Vanek respecting the league after this one?
