Watch Dominik Hasek’s number retirement ceremony, check out photos from last night

It was a special evening for Buffalo Sabres fans last night, as Dominik Hasek had his number 39 raised to the rafters – an honor long-deserved for the greatest goaltender in franchise history. The night featured a number of Hasek-centric events and items, highlighted by the Dominator’s speech and his banner raising. In case you couldn’t be there, couldn’t watch it, or just want to relive the night, here are some of the highlights we’ve collected from around the web.

Before the game, Mayor Byron Brown officially declared it “Dominik Hasek Day” in Buffalo:
