Video from Day 1 of the Sabres Development Camp

The Buffalo Sabres Development Camp started yesterday to officially start off what might be one of the more anticipated hockey seasons in the last decade or so. The fans showed up in the hundreds at the HarborCenter to get their first look at the 2016 NHL Draft class.

Here is the roster and the team selections for the much-loved Blue vs Gold Scrimmage which will be held on Saturday the 9th (click here for tickets). On the 12th, an intra-squad 3-on-3 tournament, beginning at 9:15 am and known as the French Connection Tournament will close out the camp (click here for tickets).

First round pick Alex Nylander immediately showed why his Twitter moniker is @snipeshow98 with a goal that had all the fans in attendance oohing and aahing.

Rochester Americans coach Dan Lambert spoke to the media after the two sessions ended.

There were further media interviews with some players at the end of the day.

Mon, July 11 – 9:50 to 11:30am; 1:30 to 2:50pm
