Three Questions

1. How will Johan Larsson look in his first game of the season?

Ted Nolan announced earlier today that Marcus Foligno suffered an injury that will keep him out of today’s game. Thus, the Sabres made their first call-up of the year in Johan Larsson. How will Larsson play, and will he finally score his first NHL goal?

2. Will the Sabres score more than one goal?

Saying the Sabres have struggled offensively is a bit of an understatement. They have scored more than two goals only once this season and are coming off their fifth scoreless game of the season. Can platers like Brian Gionta or Matt Moulson start making their mark on the scoresheet?

3. How much playing time will Nikita Zadorov get?

Nolan made a switch on the defensive end today, putting Zadorov and Andrej Meszaros in for Andre Benoit and Mike Weber. Zadorov only played six minutes of game action in his only other game of the season. Will Nolan give him more of a chance?

Projected BUF lineup

Moulson – Ennis – Stafford
Larsson – Hodgson – Stewart
Mitchell – Girgensons – Gionta
Deslauriers – McCormick – Flynn

Gorges – Myers
Meszaros – Ristolainen
Zadorov – Strachan

Goal: Michal Neuvirth
