Two Questions

1. Can the top line turn in another red-hot performance?

In the last game in Toronto, the three players on Buffalo’s top line each finished with one goal and two assists. It was an impressive performance for sure, and with the young Johan Larsson playing with two veteran scorers, it called back to the Foligno or Lake Adam lines that got on a hot streak to end the season a few years ago. This group has a ways to go to reach those lofty heights, will they keep their production up tonight against a much better Rangers team?

2. Can the Sabres take advantage of a rusty backup in Mackenzie Skapski?

Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said that Skapski will get the start tonight, and it will be his first start since he debuted against the Sabres back on February 20th. Skapski made 24 saves in a 3-1 Rangers win the last time he played, but with almost a month off between appearances, will he show signs of rust, or pick up where he left off?

Projected BUF lines

Moulson – Larsson – Ennis
Foligno – Varone – Gionta
Deslauriers – Schaller – Hodgson
D’Amigo – Ellis – Dalpe

Benoit – Bogosian
Meszaros – Ristolainen
Zadorov – Strachan

Goal: Anders Lindback
