Three Questions

1. Can the Panthers stay hot?

Who would have thought the Panthers would be in first place in the Atlantic Division? Florida has won its last nine games dating back to Dec. 15, pushing their way to a three point lead over second-place Detroit.

2. Will the Sabres get a good look at Jaromir Jagr‘s continued dominance?

The ageless wonder leads the Panthers in scoring, playing along many players who are nearly 20 years younger than him. It’s amazing to think if he didn’t miss five seasons playing in Europe and to lockouts he’d have a shot at passing Wayne Gretzky in all-time scoring. Will he beat Chad Johnson tonight?

3. Can Tim Schaller make an impact in his first game back in Buffalo?

The Sabres called up Schaller to take the place of the injured Nick Deslauriers. He hasn’t been too noticable in his six games, getting only two assists. Can he make an impact on the fourth line or on the shorthanded unit?

Projected BUF Lines

Kane – O’Reilly – Reinhart
Girgensons – Eichel – McGinn
Moulson – Larsson – Gionta
Schaller – Legwand – Foligno

Gorges – Ristolainen
McCabe – Bogosian
Colaicovo – Franson

Goal: Linus Ullmark
