Sabres vs. Jets Preview: Four in a row?
The Sabres look to extend their longest winning streak of the season as the Jets come to town.
Game #24
Buffalo Sabres (7-14-2) at
Montreal Canadiens (11-9-3)
Three Questions
1. Which of the Sabres top players will continue their scoring streaks?
Over the past four games, each of Tyler Ennis, Zemgus Girgensons, Matt Moulson, and Brian Gionta has either four or five points, while Drew Stafford has three. It's nice to see the top guys stepping up as the team finally learns how to score, but which of them can keep it going against a team that is quite good at limiting their shots against.
2. Will the Sabres be able to must more than 25 shots?
The Jets are the seventh best team in the league at limiting their opponents shots on net, averaging only 28.2 shots against per game. With Buffalo's usually anemic offense on the opposite side of the ice, how will that number look tonight?
3. How will Jhonas Enroth look coming off one of his better games and three days rest?
Enroth stopped 43 of 44 shots against Washington and was named the first star, and the Sabres will need him to be sharp again as they likely won't get too many scoring opportunities against the stingy Winnipeg defense.
Projected BUF Lineup
Deslauriers - Hodgson - Stafford
Zadorov - Ristolainen
Goal: Jhonas Enroth
