Sabres vs. Flames preview: The revenge of Paul Byron
The surprising Flames come to the First Niagara Center, where the Sabres will look to keep their winning ways alive.
Game #29
Buffalo Sabres (10-16-2) vs.
Calgary Flames (17-10-2)
Three Questions
1. Can the Sabres take advantage of one of the worst penalty kills in the league?
Buffalo used the power play to beat LA, and with the surprisingly competent Flames coming to town, taking advantage of the man advantage would be a quick and easy way to win their second in a row. Calgary has the 27th ranked PK at 76.1%.
2. How long will Jhonas Enroth's shutout streak last?
Enroth pitched his first shutout of the season, and the Sabres first shutout in 2 seasons, on Tuesday against the defending champs. Nolan said he'll get the start again tonight, so how long can he keep this train running.
3. Will Chris Stewart play tonight, and if so, how will he respond to his benching?
At practice yesterday, Ted Nolan said he wasn't sure whether or not Stewart would play, but the impending UFA found himself riding the pine thanks to some recently uninspired play. We've seen Stewart dominate games when he's using his size and speed to create havoc down low, but we've also seen him be completely invisible when he's not. Which Chris will we get tonight, if any?
Projected BUF Lineup
Foligno - Hodgson - Stafford
Zadorov - Ristolainen
Goal: Michal Neuvirth
