Sabres vs. Canadiens Preview: Last Game Of The Season For Two Division Rivals, Last Gasp Of Playoff Hope

It’s the last game of the season between division foes as the Buffalo Sabres take on the Montreal Canadiens. The Sabres are all but out of the playoff race thanks to their Tuesday night loss to the Jets, while Montreal is sitting comfortably in fourth place in the East. The Habs will be looking to close out the season series with a win, since they’ve lost three of the four contests thus far, despite dominating many of those games in terms of possession and shot differential. It will be interesting to see how Buffalo responds after a poor performance against Winnipeg now that their playoff hopes are essentially nil.
