Sabres v. Rangers - By the Numbers
Scoring chances and Corsi Ratings from the Sabres 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers on Tuesday night.
This was the type of game the Buffalo Sabres needed. They weren't dominant, but they did enough to earn the victory. It was a different feeling to enjoy watching the Sabres play hockey. They played physical, they were good on the forecheck, they got good goalie play from Jhonas Enroth and Marcus Foligno played his best game of the season. This is a feeling I think I could get used to.
* Note - The stats below are going to be a little bit different from previous games. The great stats site timeonice.com has updated some of their scripts and I will include links to the Corsi/Fenwick numbers and shift charts in the post. I will also tracjk scoring chances but will not list the chances for each individual player. I am hoping to develop a spreadsheet that will help me track them easier so they can be included in this post.
