Conacher had an impressive rookie season with the Tampa Bay Lightning before being traded at the deadline last season for Ben Bishop. This season he has four goals and 16 assists in 60 games for the Senators this season.
Tim Murray obviously is very familiar with Conacher, being a part of the group in Ottawa that helped bring him to the Canadian capital.
Waivers are not officially announced until noon, when the move would be made official.
UPDATE: The move is now official as the noon deadline has passed.
