Sabres recall forward Scott Wilson

The Buffalo Sabres announced on Friday morning that they have recalled forward Scott Wilson from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Wilson, 27 years old, has appeared in 64 games for the Sabres over the last two seasons but joins Buffalo for the first time in the 2019-20 National Hockey League season.

Playing a larger role with the Rochester Americans, Wilson has put up 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 22 games played.

Wilson’s recall points to potentially ominous news dropping later today on the status of forward Victor Olofsson, who appeared to hurt his lower body in Thursday night’s victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

No corresponding move was announced at the time of Wilson’s recall.
