With the NHL trade deadline less than 24 hours away now, the Buffalo Sabres have quickly moved on following their trade offers for Robert Thomas and Colton Parayko falling through.
Buffalo appear to be looking to complete all their shopping tonight itself, with three moves being done soon after the Pens game – Winnipeg Jets defensemen Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn (David Pagnotta, The Fourth Period), and New York Rangers bottom six forward Sam Carrick (Stephen Whyno, AP News).
Logan Stanley has been playing top line minutes for the Jets with the injuries to Josh Morrissey and Neal Pionk. He’s been frequently paired with Luke Schenn as well, who also appears to be on his way to Buffalo.
Stanley is a 27-year-old defenseman who was drafted 18th overall in the 2016 NHL entry draft by the Jets, and is set to become an Unrestricted Free Agent (UFA) in the summer. He has played in 59 games with 9G & 12A for 17:12 a night.

Schenn is a 36-year-old veteran and will also be a UFA at the end of the season, featuring in 46 games with 1G & 6A in 13:44 per game.
