Three Questions

1. How long will the Sabres shutout streak against last?

The blue and gold couldn’t manage a single goal in their loss on Tuesday, and they plan to get more bodies to the net tonight against the Sharks. Taking advantage of their odd man rushes, something they did not do against the Ducks, would also help.

2. Who will win – Sharks PP or Sabres PK?

The Sharks come in to tonight’s game tied for second in the NHL in power play percentage at 22.5%. Meanwhile, the Sabres have seen their penalty killing percentage rise steadily over the past few weeks to 82.5%, good for ninth in the NHL. In fact, the Sabres are an incredible 90.8% successful on the PK in their last 22 games.Since we know there could be some make up calls in tonight’s game, which special teams unit will help their team most?

3. Can the Sabres keep their point streak versus the Sharks alive?

It’s one of those “I’m not really sure how or why this happened” things in sports, but the lowly Sabres are 8-0-1 in their last nine games against perennial contender San Jose.
