Sabres at Senators Preview: Sabres Look To Bounce Back In Ottawa

After stringing together a few wins in a row, the Sabres simply couldn’t overcome three games in four nights, nor the absence of a Thomas Vanek hat trick against the Boston Bruins, and lost again in depressing fashion. The Sabres have now lost 8 out of their last 11 games, but somehow still sit just one point out of a playoff spot in the tightly packed Eastern Conference. Up next are the Senators, who the Sabres lost to just seven days ago. Buffalo looks for revenge, or at least a competent performance, tonight.

Story

The Sabres come in to tonight’s tilt against Ottawa still mired in a big slump. Despite winning two of their last three games, the Sabres have not played well as of late, and are still lagging behind the rest of the league in many areas. On Sunday, Buffalo made two of their most promising young players, Tyler Myers and Mikhail Grigorenko, healthy scratches, but both are likely to be back in the lineup tonight.
