Three Questions

1. What the heck will this game look like?

Tonight’s contest features two teams in free fall, both inevitably sinking to the bottom for the rest of the year. Sometimes that can result in a really fun, sloppy hockey game, but other times it can be a snooze-fest. Will the divisional rivalry put a spark into what is, on paper, an awful hockey match up?

2. How will Johan Larsson perform as the #1 center?

Larsson’s game has been showing some signs of life recently, and during practice this week he was promoted to the top line. Will he be able to hand with Matt Moulson and Tyler Ennis, or will he look out of place?

3. Who gets the call in net, and how will he perform?

After practice yesterday, Ted Nolan would not reveal who would get the start in net. Matt Hackett needs a few more games to secure his RFA status, but he was also horrible in the crease against Washington, getting pulled in the second period for Anders Lindback.

Projected BUF lines

Moulson – Larsson – Ennis
Foligno – Varone – Gionta
Deslauriers – Schaller – Hodgson
D’Amigo – Ellis – Dalpe

Benoit – Bogosian
Weber – Ristolainen
Zadorov – Meszaros

Goal: Anders Lindback
