Three Questions

1. Who is Catenacci replacing?

Danny C was just recalled by the Sabres, but it has not been announced as of this posting who is out.

Update: It’s Eichel with the flu NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

2. Will the Sabres bring just as good an effort as they had yesterday?

Buffalo played one of their best games of the season last year in a 3-1 win over Ottawa. Goals from Reinhart, Deslauriers, and Bogosian, each of whom is on a bit of a hot streak, led the way and a solid effort from Chad Johnson sealed the victory. Another strong effort tonight, on a back-to-back and against the Leafs’ AHL lineup would be a welcome sight.

3. How will Frederik Gauthier look in his NHL debut?

The Leafs called up their first round pick in the 2013 draft, and the massive Gauthier – he’s 6’5” – will join a number of his Marlies teammates on the ice tonight in Toronto. Welcome to the NHL kid, now here’s Ryan O’Reilly and Jack Eichel.

Projected BUF lines

Kane – O’Reilly – Deslauriers

Girgensons – Eichel – Reinhart

Foligno – Larsson – Gionta

Catenacci – Legwand – Moulson

Gorges – Ristolainen

McCabe – Bogosian
Colaiacovo – Pysyk

Goal: Chad Johnson
